Prepare appropriate curriculum and annual plan to submit to the administration for approval. Teach secondary school students in the subject of Science; apply the curriculum as prepared and approved; keep attendance records; assign lessons; administer tests to evaluate students' progress; and maintain discipline in the classroom. Create lesson plans, correct homework, and evaluate teacher-made tests. Prepare tests to evaluate students' progress, record the results, and issue reports to inform parents of progress. Contact parents to offer positive reinforcement regarding social and academic achievements the students make.
Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's degree in Science Education, any subfield of natural science, or Engineering and 1 year of experience as Science Teacher at middle or high school level. Teaching experience must be full-time as a teacher of record (not substitute) at general education setting (not special population).
STEM Curriculum Developer:
Develop and implement STEM curriculum for secondary school students. Weigh overriding STEM objectives for curriculum, considering grade level, academic ability of children, and whether the children are to be prepared for standardized tests or for college study. Generate ideas oneself and receive curriculum suggestions from teachers in STEM-related courses. Apply knowledge of subject matter, decide which topics shall be included in courses. Simplify and/or enrich subject matter as necessary for student learning. Review textbooks, workbooks, and other assignments for suitability. If necessary, consult with experts and scholars in the field. As part of a committee, revise curriculum and offer to teachers. Train teachers in the curriculum implementation.
Bachelor's degree in Masterís Degree or foreign equivalent in Science, any subfield of natural science, or Education plus two years of experience, obtained before or after obtaining masters, in the job offered or as a Science Teacher at middle or high school level. Alternatively, we will accept Bachelorís Degree in Science, any subfield of natural science, or related field plus five years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in education including two years of experience in the job offered or as a Science teacher at middle or high school level. The teaching experience must be full-time as the teacher of record (not substitute) at general education setting (not special population).
